Interim Controller-Technology
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Interim Controller to lead corporate accounting, technical accounting, and financial reporting functions. This role will ensure compliance with US GAAP and SEC requirements, support audit activities, and provide financial leadership during a critical transition period.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee SEC filings, financial reporting, and board/investor presentations.
- Serve as the technical accounting expert for complex US GAAP matters, including revenue recognition, leases, equity compensation, and financing arrangements.
- Lead the preparation of accounting memos, policies, and internal controls.
- Manage external audit relationships and support quarterly and annual audits.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support strategic business initiatives and evaluate accounting impacts.
- Mentor and guide the accounting team while driving process improvements and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- CPA required.
- 15+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including significant Big 4 public accounting experience.
- Strong background in SEC reporting, technical accounting, and US GAAP.
- Experience in the technology or high-growth sector preferred.
- Proven leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and lead through change.
Contract/Interim Opportunity | Immediate Need
Compensation: $120-$145 Hourly
